Church Pillow

Sweet church pillow on a hexagon quilt. I love the church quilts! Check out all the neat backgrounds.

People often ask me what my craft room looks like, so I thought it was time to give you a proper tour! Fair warning: it is organized chaos at its finest.

The walls are lined with shelves holding fabric sorted by color — warm tones on one side, cool tones on the other, and a whole section just for vintage prints that I cannot bring myself to cut into yet. Thread spools are stored in old glass jars on the windowsill where the light catches them beautifully.

My sewing machine lives in the center of the room on a big wooden table that I found at a flea market. It is covered in pin cushions, scissors, and whatever project I am currently working on. There is always at least one project in progress — usually three or four.

And yes, there is a cat. His name is Biscuit and he has very strong opinions about which fabrics deserve his attention. Anything soft and warm is immediately claimed as a nap spot. I have learned to keep my good wool out of reach.

The craft room is my happy place. It is where ideas become real things, where I lose track of time in the best possible way, and where every finished project starts with a single stitch.
